Q: How old does an African Violet need to be to bloom?
A: If you grow a plant from a leaf, you should have blooms in nine to twelve months from the time you put down the leaf. Different growing conditions cause the variation in time. Also, some varieties develop faster and bloom at 6 months, but nine to twelve months is the general rule.
