			<description><![CDATA[ Foliar mealy bugs can appear on just about any houseplant.  That&#39;s why we always say when you buy a plant--any plant--keep it away from the violets.

Foliar mealy bugs appear only on the foliage;  soil mealies usually appear in the soil, but when conditions are not comfortable for them, they can go to the
top of the soil.  They don&#39;t usually go to the top of the plant.
<br>
<br>
Both bugs even look somewhat similar.

<p>A basket is a sucker which has grown from a flower stem.  On some varieties these happen frequently.  HAWAIIAN TRAIL has had so many baskets I don&#39;t
bother reproducing them.

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>My favorite author is Phillipa Gregory.  She writes under three names.  Victoria Holt, Jean Plaidy and Phillipa Gregory.  These are all historical romances.
 Phillipa Gregory write about the royal families and some of it is factual.  Victoria Holt write suspense/with a touch of Romance.  Jean Plaidy writes
historical as well.

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>The pool of hybridizers is dwindling.  In Canada, three hybridizers are no longer working with violets.

Curcurco, who is in Toronto, B-Man&#39;s series is no longer hybridizing.  Demers in Quebec is no longer hybridizing.  Perreault, who produced so many huge
variegated specimens is now semi-retired  is now a snow-bird flying south in winter to Florida and coming home to Quebec when weather is more pleasant.

			<description><![CDATA[ Shipping season is over for my little leaf business.  Good thing too.  It&#39;s time to get those plants into shape for show.

Many standards are in a natural symmetrical shape so I have taken them out of order--they have to be alphabetisized for finding leaves--and are placed on
another stand.  I just removed about 15 plants that looked good after repotting and taking off leaves that didn&#39;t add to the quality of the plant.  I
