Well, I missed everyone... and everyone seemed to miss each other!!!
When I came to the chat room, there had been others there... and left short notes... Fred had been there just a few moments before I got there...
THEN our phone rang... and that disconnected our dial up internet.... !!! urgh!!
I just came back and saw that Fred had checked back in, and then left again! :(

Hi everyone,
It's Wednesday again and if any of you are not busy this evening try making it into chat. All my cooking chores for tomorrow are finished for today. Just have to put some of the appetizers in dishes for tomorrows feast and have to finsih off the gravy. The gravy will wait until tomorrow.

We lived in an old farm house when I was young. We had a hen house (next to the outhouse) no indoor plumbing at the time. When I was learning to play my French horn my family told me in no uncertain terms to practice somewhere else so I sat on a shelf in the hen house and ran my scales an arpeggios thinking of the chickens who used to live there. My own private studio.

Gosh, I thought I had problems with the bear in my garbage. I put a stiff rubber bungee cord on my can, and kept most of the garbage inside to try and discourage. One night he came three times! Trying to bulk up for the winter I suppose. I was beginning to be afraid to go outside at night. It hasn't been around for a week now - I am hoping they have gone higher up to snooze for a few months. I wouldn't want to loose my fowl or livestock, but a mountain lion...

Usually a fox is an 'ethical killer'... will only take one each day, or at least each trip to the hen house. Not sure why he decided to kill so many! Maybe he is stocking his pantry for winter! :) But, it is quite a puzzler for my menfolk and they have been asking other trappers/hunters.. the general opinon is that it is out of character for a fox. But my son saw it and we have had fox problems before... and the marks on the killed hens do look like a fox... etc. I am saying he just...

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about that Fox!! Personally he/she should have it's tail nailed to a tree as a warning to the others. Hopefully there is only one!!

I think that old fox was color blind. He should have taken the blue ones. My gosh I would have thought he would have been happy with one chicken. Did he kill all those hens and only take one?

Yuku Announcements says....
'Chat Server Down for Maintenance'.
They expected the 'down time' to be from 11/11 through a week... apparently it was completely down.. no chat... for some time, but enough people complained, and it was put back up.... but with bugs and problems.
They gave several fixes, temporary solutions. I have an idea.... will be back in a bit!!

How about trying this: whenever you come to our forum to read.... click on the chat room and see who else is waiting to visit????

You don't have to chat for an hour... all you have to do is say HI... and maybe you will find we are talking about something so interesting you will stay for 15 minutes!!!
